OUR SERVICE
GreenSwitch Hubs specialises in the collection and processing of organic waste, offering dedicated services for retailers and restaurants, typically in shopping centres, as well as for other hospitality businesses and corporations producing significant amounts of food waste. To a lesser degree, we can accommodate green waste from, for example, landscapers and agricultural practices. Our service includes the provision of specialised bins for organic food waste, ensuring easy and compliant disposal.
The organic waste collected is transformed into valuable compost through our innovative process at our premises. This compost is then used to support sustainable practices and contribute to a greener environment.
Additionally, GreenSwitch Hubs has a division focused on corporate gardening. If a quota of tenants at a shopping centre subscribes to our services and the shopping centre signs up for our gardening services, there may be opportunities to utilise the compost generated for enhancing the green spaces within the centre. This creates a full-circle, zero-waste system that not only promotes sustainability but also adds prestige to the shopping centre by showcasing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
GreenSwitch Hubs also buys back used cooking oil at R4 per litre, which we process into biodiesel, further contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, GreenSwitch Hubs supports the AWARE Foundation NPC, which is dedicated to animal welfare and rescue efforts. A portion of your administration fee and bin management fees is donated to the foundation, meaning that as a member, you automatically contribute to animal welfare as well as sustainability.
PICKUP TIMES
We arrange pickups at times that minimise disruption to your operations. Typically, collections occur three times a week. We work closely with you and the shopping centre management to establish the most convenient schedule.
